Palm webOS (formerly Palm Pre) Development Bundle for TextMate 0.3

Palm webOS 0.3Releasing version 0.3 of my Palm webOS development bundle for TextMate, with plenty new features and a stand-alone “Mojo”-language.

So, what’s new in 0.3? Well, just about everything. I’ve renamed the bundle (at least its metadata), since webOS is not just limited to the Pre and I’ve modified the shortcuts of existing features to fit TextMate’s styling guidelines a bit better. I’ve also created some snippets which can be used for faster code-writing now and in addition to that, I’ve implemented a very own language for the bundle, which can’t be found in the document type picker named as “Mojo”. “Yeah baby!”, as Austin would say now. Actually, yet it’s just a copy & paste of the JavaScript-language implementation in TextMate, but I’m planning to extend it to fit the Mojo-framework even better.

The TextMate bundle is now also available on GitHub, for everyone who can’t wait for me packaging the releases and releasing them here. :-) If you have any ideas for improvement, feel free to contact me by mail or just leave some lines here on my blog.

Enjoy!

When I try to install the bundle, i get an error saying that the info.plist is corrupt/missing. I checked inside the package and it’s still there, so there might be a problem w/ the prebuilt package

    Hi mac,

thank you for the info. Could you please try to install the package by just manually moving it to ~/Library/Application Support/TextMate/Bundles/ ? Then just start TextMate and see if you have “Palm webOS” within your Bundles-menu.

It should be working by that, although I’m not sure yet why the regular installation fails.

Btw, you can also try pulling it from GiHub. :-)

    Bye.

I got the same as mac, and a manual install didn’t make a difference. I’m going to go learn git real quick and see if the GitHub version works better.

  4. Jake says:

No love with the github version, though the Git bundle came down and works just fine.

    Hi Jake and mac,

thank you for your info, I’ve just uploaded a new Bundle that should be working just perfectly now by simply double-clicking it. :-)

    Enjoy!

    Hi Alex,

I’m glad you found my Bundle helpful. I haven’t had time to improve it lately, but you can check out the GIT repository for the “latest and greatest”. :-)

    Regards,
    Marius.

Have your say.
